Host to Host Booking ← Back to the directory

Own your bookings. Keep the fees.

Every property in our directory has one thing in common: the host owns the site guests book on. If you're not there yet, this is what it takes to get there — and it's less than most hosts assume.

Built by Lantern House Digital, the team behind this directory — and hosts ourselves since 2020.

Two ways to pay. You pick.

Same site either way — same design, same photos, same booking flow. The only difference is how you'd rather handle changes down the road. Most hosts know within about thirty seconds which one is them.

Hosting costs are covered in both options. Domain registration runs about $10–15/year and stays in your name — we'll never hold your domain hostage.

Make it unmistakably yours

The build gets you a site that takes bookings. These are the touches that make guests remember it — and come back direct.

Your property's own song — $100

A custom theme song for your place, playable right on your site. Hear it live: open brodiecabin.com and hit the "Play the Brodie Cabin mood" button in the corner — the site starts to sound like the cabin feels. Guests don't forget it, and neither do the people they show it to.

$100 one time.

Digital guest guidebook — $100

Check-in codes, house quirks, the beach map, where to eat, what to skip — on its own link your guests get before they arrive. Replaces the laminated binder and cuts the "what's the wifi password" texts to zero. See a real one: Beverly's Roatán guidebook.

$99 standalone — just $50 when we build your site.

Search & Google Business setup

A book-direct site your repeat guests can find is worth having. A book-direct site strangers can find is worth a lot more. We handle the on-page SEO, local search setup, and your Google Business profile so "cabins near [your town]" starts putting you in front of people.

$250–350 one time, or $75–100/month for ongoing work.

The math most hosts run

Platform service fees generally run in the neighborhood of 14–16% of the booking total once the host and guest sides are added up — and the guest-side fee is money out of your guest's pocket that never reaches you.

On a $2,000 month, that's roughly $280–320 gone. One direct booking a month tends to cover the build. Two tends to cover the year.

Your actual numbers depend on your platform, your rates, and which fee structure you're on — worth pulling up your own payout report and checking. We're happy to look at it with you.

What the build looks like

Most sites go live within a week of getting your info. The part that takes the longest is usually waiting on you.

01

Send us your listings. Your Airbnb or VRBO links, your rates, your rules. We pull your photos and property details from there.

02

Pick a domain. We'll suggest options if you don't have one. It gets registered in your name, on your account.

03

Review the draft. You see the real site on a preview link and tell us what to change before anything goes public.

04

Connect payments & calendars. Money goes to your processor, never through us. Calendar sync keeps your dates honest.

Ready? Start with the free demo.

One form, two minutes, and we build you a real working preview of your site — your photos, your rates, your property's personality. You see it before you spend a dollar. That's the whole process now: no quotes, no calls unless you want one, just proof.

Fair questions

Do I have to stop using Airbnb?

No, and most hosts shouldn't. Airbnb is good at reaching people who've never heard of you. A direct site is good at keeping the ones who already have. Calendar sync means both can run at once without double-booking.

Who holds the money?

You do. Payments go straight to your own Stripe or Square account. We never touch guest funds and we're not a party to your bookings.

What if I want to leave?

The domain is in your name and the site is yours. On the monthly option you can cancel and we'll hand off the files; on the flat option there's nothing to cancel.

Can you match the look of my property?

That's the point. Your photos, your voice, your colors. These aren't cookie-cutter templates with your name dropped in.

Does listing in the directory cost anything?

No. The directory is free and stays free whether you ever hire us or not. Plenty of listings on it were built by other people entirely.
